Use the SHIFT GO mobile app on your iOS or Android device to review and approve files from anywhere you are.
Sign-In to SHIFT GO
Once you open the SHIFT GO mobile app, you'll be prompted to enter your email address associated with your SHIFT account. Alternatively, click "log in another way" to log in via Google.
After submitting your email address, you'll receive a login link in your email inbox. Click the link to enter your SHIFT GO account.
Everything you do in the mobile app will sync in real time with web and desktop as long as you are connected to the internet.
After signing in you'll see your Feed, which collects and displays your links and lets you keep track of your files, revisions, and comments all in one place. Your newest links will show up at the top.
Swipe right on your Feed to reveal the Filters left-hand sidebar which shows you the Platforms, Workspaces and People you can filter your Feed by. Tap on these filters to find specific links.
Viewing Links and Files from Feed Screen
To view a link, click on the Feed Card. If a link contains more than one file, a playlist will appear showing all the files in that specific link.
Click the video thumbnail to open its review page.
SHIFT Go offers the ability to switch between workspaces that you have access to. Simply click the center icon to be taken to the list of workspaces. This image will change depending on the Workspace Logo you’ve selected.
Mobile Project Browsing
SHIFT Go allows users to view their projects and assets along with the ability to download files for offline viewing within the SHIFT Go app exclusively. These can be shown as a thumbnail grid or as a list view.
The tiles display as they would on a mobile browser or the desktop app, with the number of files and size of the project displayed. Along with that, the shield icon in the upper-right of a thumbnail indicates whether or not the project is watermarked.
The search bar at the top of the screen allows you to find any asset you may be looking for.
Review and Approval
If feedback is requested for the file, tap the Comment icon in the top-right corner to open the feedback options from the asset viewer.
In this review mode, you'll be able to draw directly on the video or image to or type in comments to leave feedback. Use the color tool to draw in different colors and the eraser tool to remove any drawings you don't need.
You will see all the comments left by reviewers below the file.
Once you are finished reviewing, tap the thumbs-up icon in the top-right to approve the file.
To share the link you are viewing, tap the Airplane Icon in the top-right corner and select the method you'd like to share. This will open your device's sharing tab so that you can forward the link [if permitted by the original sender]. This action does not create a new link.
Any link in your Feed that is Expired will have a red "Expired" flag with the expiration date posted at the top right of the file thumbnail.
Upload From Your Device
SHIFT GO now offers the ability to upload content to SHIFT from your mobile device.
You will be able to download content from SHIFT onto your mobile device as well, if allowed by your permissions and link settings.
Anytime you are inside a project with upload permissions: click the blue button and you will have the ability to use your camera or upload assets. You will be prompted to create a new folder if you want during the upload process.
Downloading Assets To Your Phone
SHIFT GO allows you to download content from your SHIFT to your Camera Roll and/or Files app, if you are in a project where your role contains Download permission, or if shared a link where download is enabled.
There is an action menu which supports:
- Saving to Files
- Saving to Camera
- Open In: (select app)
Users in SHIFT GO can save files to the app for offline viewing. This makes it easy for reviewers to leave notes securely while traveling. Please note that any files downloaded for in-app reviewing while offline cannot be accessed by any other app on the device.
Downloading Assets for Offline Viewing
Every asset on the feed contains a download button under the title ➟ tap the button to begin downloading the corresponding asset.
Once the SHIFT GO app detects that there is no connection, you will only be shown links in your feed that have been downloaded. When offline, Project Browse is not available.
To view all downloaded assets offline, Select the Down-Arrow Icon in the bottom tray.
This screen will show all assets that have been saved locally.
